House Manager:
LA couple with a beautiful home in one of LA’s luxury hotel residences seeks a calm, proactive house manager to care for their 6,500 sq. ft. 3-bedroom 4-bathroom apartment in zip code 90015.
The start date is ASAP for the right candidate. Ideally, the couple would like to find a local manager; someone familiar with the LA area and has a network of contacts. The ideal applicant will step in and take ownership of the role with little onboarding or ongoing oversight necessary. The candidate should have a proactive approach to maintaining the property and will serve as a representative the principals, acting as a proxy to make decisions and negotiate contracts with vendors. Our clients are gentle and would like to find a manager who is mellow in character and demeanor, respectful, adaptive, and resourceful in the community. An experienced manager will understand the expecations of the role.
At times the environment can be fast paced, so the candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking: managing calendars, scheduling drivers, arranging travel, and creating detailed itineraries, all while maintaining their composure. An executive assistant/PA with management experience would excel in the role. Candidates must be comfortable around pets as the couple have a very well behave Corgi. Must respectfully understand and anticipate boundaries.
This role is all encompassing. You may be required to:
- Hire, train, and manage domestic staff
- May need to hire part-time chauffeur/houseman for maintenance and repairs
- Research and recommend the best options for cleaning and minor repairs, seeking approval before acting
- Assess for any repairs needed due to “wear and tear” or damage; or contacting the proper licensed vendor to assess and conduct needed repairs or any cleaning related services
- Supervise & coordinate vendors (installation) & repairs for property
- Work with, schedule, supervise and upkeep of maintenance schedules for household
- Develop and manage a household manual
- Maintain and complete a list of day-to-day tasks (random errands requiring transportation)
- Cook basic food
- Pack and unpack
- Drop off returns
- Prescription pick-up
- Scheduling appointments
- Coordinating household chores
- Organizing the home
- Assist with packing and unpacking/personal shopping
- Grocery shopping/delivery
- Household product inventory & shopping lists
- Coordinate and accept all deliveries
$140,000 to $160,000 for highly qualified candidates
Medical Contribution
Industry Standard P/T/O
Monday through Friday 9am-6pm, with possible weekend support when entertaining
