Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY  

The Facilities manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational systems at several private residences in Southern California. Responsibilities include oversight of commercial and residential systems, managing repairs, installations, and maintenance, including sourcing and overseeing trades. MUSt have a background in Engineering, Architecture, or Mechanical. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plan, develop, and oversee maintenance programs and schedules across multiple properties, systems, and trades.
  • Gather and analyze system data, blueprints, and reports to evaluate current capabilities, performance requirements, and expected life cycles.
  • Document facility and equipment specifications, requirements, operational performance, and maintenance history.
  • Analyze costs and prepare budgets, including developing staffing and outsourcing plans, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance budgets, equipment and part inventories, and capital expenditure needs.
  • Coordinate infrastructure expansions and upgrades, including evaluating designs and performance criteria.
  • Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee, or perform, repairs or installation of fixtures, appliances, and equipment to workmanship and operational performance standards.
  • Knowledgeable in such areas as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.), waste management systems, and home automation and lighting control systems a plus.
  • Available to respond to emergency issues as they arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED certificate with Vocational or trade school certification is required. Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Six plus years of demonstrated experience as a facilities manager, construction manager, facilities engineer or similar roles.
  • Knowledgeable in plumbing, heating, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Understands confidentiality.
  • Experience installing and repairing appliances.
  • Knowledge of high-end finishes and materials.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*

Valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The associate will also be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate will wear protective clothing, including eye protection, safety shoes, hoods and sometimes helmets. A large amount of this travel involves driving. Associate will go for long periods of continual body activity. The associate must frequently lift, carry or move items or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The duties for this position occur in various places on the ranch regularly working in outside weather conditions.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

The associate is frequently required to travel up to 75% of the time for business purposes.

Salary

$120k - $140k D.O.E.
