A warm, professional family based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina seeks to engage an experienced Executive Housekeeper with strong household management abilities to oversee the daily operations and presentation of their private residence. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a polished, proactive, and highly organized candidate who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully run home while assisting with light family support and household coordination.
The primary residence is approximately 10,000 square feet across three levels and includes four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two offices, a gym space, and a large basement. There is also an approximately 3,000 square foot guest house/cottage on the property, though it is only used occasionally.
The ideal candidate will possess both hands-on executive housekeeping skills and the ability to confidently manage vendors, schedules, household systems, and the overall flow of the residence. The family currently employs outside cleaners twice weekly for heavier cleaning; however, this position will oversee those vendors, coordinate periodic deep cleaning projects, and ensure the home is maintained to exceptionally high standards on a daily basis.
Responsibilities Include:
• Executive-level housekeeping and maintaining immaculate household standards throughout the residence
• Laundry, steaming, pressing, folding, wardrobe care, and closet organization
• Managing household inventories and stocking supplies
• Coordinating and overseeing outside cleaning teams and periodic deep-cleaning vendors
• Assisting with vendor scheduling, service appointments, and household logistics
• Grocery shopping and household errands including UPS, CVS, returns, and general household needs
• Preparing guest areas ahead of arrivals and maintaining organization throughout the home
• Assisting with light meal preparation or household support as needed
• Helping oversee organization projects and maintaining systems throughout the residence
• Monitoring household maintenance needs and proactively communicating issues to the principals
Pet care is also included in the role. The family has a 13-year-old Chihuahua and a 10-year-old cat. Duties would include:
• Walking the dog if needed
• Monitoring water fountains and automated feeding systems
• Managing the automated litter box
• Purchasing pet food and supplies
• Assisting with medication reminders or administration if needed
• Coordinating annual vet appointments
The family also has two teenagers at home, ages 16 and 14, and the candidate should be comfortable assisting with transportation and occasional errands. Duties may include:
• Driving children to and from school or activities
• Delivering forgotten items to school
• Running errands on behalf of the family
• Assisting with transportation logistics as needed
The anticipated schedule is generally Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:30/4:30 p.m., depending on the agreed lunch schedule and household needs. Flexibility is appreciated on occasion for schedule changes, special events, or emergencies, though regular evening and weekend coverage is not anticipated.
This is a live-out position; therefore, local candidates already based within reasonable commuting distance to Winston-Salem (27106) are strongly preferred.
