We are seeking an experienced live-in domestic couple for a family of four in Washington, CT - Litchfield County.

Immediate Start

A wonderful family in Washington, CT are looking to hire a domestic couple. The family consists of a husband, wife, and two children who live in the home. The children are 13 and 23 years old, the eldest attends university. The lady of the house is Italian, and her husband is Indian. The children speak English and Italian, and there are two large, hypoallergenic dogs they love and adore.

The estate is 15,000 sq. ft., five bedrooms and six bathrooms, with a separate guest cottage on the estate property. There is also a caretaker's cottage on the estate where the domestic couple would reside. The couple will have the entire top floor apartment – one bedroom with a separate bathroom, kitchen, and living area. The space is a distance from the main house, and private. Pets are OK. The current domestic couple have given notice and are moving back to Brazil at the beginning of November.

The family has full-time contracted maintenance help. The cleaning and maintaintenace of the pool and HVAC system is taken care of by local vendors. 

Primary Duties:

• All aspects of housekeeping/houseman responsibilities - to include cleaning, laundry, iorning and organizing, wardrobe management, dusting, mopping, and sweeping.
• Maintain the areas around the indoor and outdoor pools - tidying, cleaning, mopping, towel set up, etc.
• Seasonally bring the outside furniture in and out.
• Manage all seasonal plantings. 
• Cooking daily dinner which is served at 7.30pm. The family have no food restrictions. Must be able to set and serve a table, and support entertaining at weekends periodically. 
• Run errands and grocery shop; ensure the pantry, fridge, family, and personal items remain stocked; Inventory management.
• Attention to detail is essential - monitoring vendors, ensuring that all outside plant care, landscaping, mowing the lawn is scheduled and performed.
• Transport the family to and from events and appointments as needed.

The family travels during the summer in Italy and may need the couple to travel with them, passport-ready is desirable.
The family is looking for a kind, considerate, and drama-free couple.

MUST

Be kitchen-savvy – cooking for the family is a big part of this job. Confident cooking for small dinnner parties and events would be essential.

Have a valid driver's license.

Be physically fit to move furniture, lift heavy vases and art pieces, take care of yard work, etc.

Have an excellent attitude, open communication, and cheerful disposition.

Love dogs and be willing to help care for the pets as needed.

Must pass a full criminal background check and have a clean driver's license.

Salary and Benefits

150k – 185k D.O.E.
Full medical, dental, and vision
Living quarters are provided, and all living expenses are covered.

Schedule
Tuesday – Saturday

(The family eats dinner around 7:30 PM, so the couple can work in the morning, take a break in the middle of the day, and come back to serve dinner OR come in later in the afternoon and stay through dinner, whichever is desired)
