Position Overview

A wonderful family in Knoxville, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Domestic Couple to oversee the daily operations of their private estate. This is an outstanding long-term opportunity for a polished, proactive, and self-motivated couple who enjoy creating and maintaining an exceptional home environment.

The property encompasses approximately 40 acres, including six acres of beautifully maintained grounds and five structures: a 16,000-square-foot primary residence, a 2,000-square-foot guest house, a 9,000-square-foot barn with entertaining space, studio, and workshop, and a 3,000-square-foot outdoor pool facility. The successful couple will reside in the well-appointed guest house.

The Principals also own a yacht and spend approximately 100 days each year cruising in the Bahamas, making strong independent management skills essential while they are away from the property.

The Principals are successful entrepreneurs who value professionalism, discretion, initiative, and work-life balance. While they enjoy entertaining throughout the year—including holiday gatherings, social events, and occasional political functions—they maintain a relaxed and respectful lifestyle.

They have a blended family, including two young children together, ages six and eight. The children are cared for by a dedicated full-time nanny, and no childcare responsibilities are expected of the Domestic Couple. The family is seeking long-term partners who will take genuine pride in caring for their home while maintaining warm yet professional boundaries.

Primary Responsibilities

Estate Oversight

• Ensure the residence and surrounding buildings are impeccably maintained.
• Conduct routine inspections and proactively address maintenance needs.
• Coordinate seasonal landscaping, planting, winterization, and property readiness.
• Monitor and schedule servicing of generators, HVAC systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Oversee the care and maintenance of recreational assets, including the lake, jet skis, ATVs, and small boats.

Vendor & Administrative Management

• Schedule, supervise, and manage outside contractors and service providers.
• Review invoices, coordinate bill payments, and maintain organized records.
• Arrange travel logistics and maintain household calendars.
• Track service schedules for the family's vehicles and household systems.
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and vendors remain accountable.

Household & Lifestyle Support

• Keep the residence organized, fully stocked, and prepared for the Principals and their guests.
• Coordinate holiday décor and seasonal transitions throughout the property.
• Assist with planning and overseeing family gatherings and entertaining.
• Anticipate household needs and ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Ideal Candidates

The ideal couple will have previous experience supporting a luxury private residence and possess a balanced combination of estate management, administrative, and hands-on property oversight skills. They should be resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal direction.
