Property: 17-acre residence with extensive gardens, a vegetable garden, rose garden, ponds, and outbuildings

A retired husband and wife in their early 60s is seeking a dedicated Domestic Couple (Groundsman/Horticulturist and Housekeeper) for their meticulously maintained 17-acre estate in Cincinnati. The residence includes a 20,000 sq. ft. home, a pool house, and several outbuildings.

Groundsman/Horticulturist Responsibilities:

• Hands-on maintenance of the property's extensive gardens, including vegetable and rose gardens.
• Supervise landscapers responsible for mowing the lawn.
• Maintain all seasonal plantings, decor, irrigation systems, ponds, planters, and associated irrigation systems.
• Focus on preserving the landscape's pristine condition, requiring expertise in gardening and landscape management.
• Potentially reintroduce chickens to the property and assist with future plans to introduce a dog.

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Assist with all aspects of daily maintenance, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining inventories.
• Handle online ordering, returns, dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, and assist with simple meal preparation.
• Maintain the residence in top condition, even though it is primarily used by the couple.
• Assist with setting the table, arranging flowers, and providing support during holidays and occasional entertaining.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Travel with the couple to their home in Savannah for 4-5 weeks during the winter, helping with spring cleaning and setting up the residence.
• Assist the couple's daughter, who lives nearby, as needed, particularly when there are lighter duties at the primary residence.

Qualifications:

• Prior long-term experience in similar roles, with knowledge of landscaping, lighting, security, and interior home maintenance.
• Ability to self-manage, take initiative, and proactively maintain a large property.
• Friendly, warm, and engaging demeanour, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to bring in additional support as needed.

Accommodations:

• A beautifully appointed, fully furnished, luxurious guest house is available for the ideal couple. The guest house is approximately 2,000 sq. ft.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Full benefits package offered.
• Relocation assistance available for out-of-state candidates.
• Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
