Domestic Couple for Private Island PAUSED
This position is for a hands-on domestic Couple to service a large isolated private residence in the Caribbean. The estate consists of a main residence, adjoining guest apartments, two guest houses and pleasure boats, extensive grounds in a picturesque tropical setting. The clients wish this formal property to be guest ready at all times. The family likes to entertain when in residence and also encourages friends and family to use their home. Our clients wish to maintain their property in pristine condition.
While part of the home is older but fully renovated, it has a state-of-the-art automation system and advanced water and electrical systems. The couple should have confidence troubleshooting technology. Candidates with facilities management, engineering or a prior similar role would be an advantage, as some of the systems in the home need constant maintenance. An ideal couple would have prior experience and/or a previous history working on yachts in the Caribbean, in addition to a 5 Star service background.
The family would like the ideal Couple to be resourceful, have prior staff management experience, and connections to the Caribbean, with the resources to hire local staff as needed. The position would include complete HR oversight, payroll management, staff scheduling, and bonus and allocation of benefits. The Couple will be expected to maintain existing SOPs --updating the property manuals and hurricane procedures, as needed-and oversee bills, permits, insurance and payroll. The Couple should firmly understand logistics, planning, and risk analysis. This role would work for a Domestic Pair without commitment and looking for a new adventure.
The Couple should have a clear understanding and appreciation of the cultural differences when working in the Caribbean. The family bring their suffort staff as needed, so the Pair should have prior experience working with the family office, communicate clearly, organizing flights, passports, permits and the like. When the house is full, the role is hands on, and the Couple will support and manage the coordination of all housekeeping, chefs, boat crew, transfers and safety etc.
Political dignitaries and celebrities visit regularly. Some experience with security and/or secret service protocols would be a plus. It is import for the Couple to understand boundaries; always remaining respectful and professional.
Additionally, the family has a beautiful 150 ft yacht and supporting water craft. The Couple would be responsible for licensing, permitting, and insurance. A captain’s license, prior experience supporting maintenance/repairs/engineering and the movement of water craft would be highly desired skills. The boat has its own desalination systems, generators and can stay at sea for extended periods.

Benefits
Salary dependent on experience, salary range in the regions of $250,000.00 to $375,000.00
