Position: Domestic Couple – Groundsman/Horticulturist & Housekeeper

Property: 17-acre private estate with extensive gardens, vegetable and rose gardens, ponds, and outbuildings

A retired couple in their early 60s is seeking a dedicated and professional Domestic Couple to care for their beautifully maintained 17-acre estate in Cincinnati. The property includes a 20,000 sq. ft. main residence, a pool house, and multiple outbuildings.

This is a long-term opportunity for a couple with strong experience in private service, ideally one with horticulture/property care expertise and the other with household management/housekeeping experience.

Groundsman/Horticulturist Responsibilities:

• Hands-on maintenance of the property’s extensive grounds, including vegetable and rose gardens
• Supervision of landscaping crew responsible for lawn mowing
• Care and upkeep of seasonal plantings, planters, irrigation systems, ponds, and outdoor décor
• Ensure all outdoor spaces are maintained to the highest standards year-round
• Potential involvement in reintroducing chickens to the property and assisting with future plans to bring in a dog

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Daily upkeep of the main residence, including dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and maintaining inventories
• Management of dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, online ordering, and returns
• Occasional light meal preparation and assistance with table setting and flower arranging
• Support during holidays and for occasional entertaining
• Maintain the home in immaculate condition, though it is primarily occupied by the couple

Additional Responsibilities:

• Travel with the principals to their Savannah residence for 4–5 weeks during winter to assist with seasonal opening and spring cleaning
• Provide light support to the couple’s nearby daughter when needed, especially during slower periods at the main residence

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Prior long-term experience in similar roles, preferably in private estates or large properties
• A strong understanding of landscaping, security, lighting systems, and general home maintenance
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
• Warm, friendly demeanor and a professional, can-do attitude
• Willingness to bring in and manage additional support when necessary

Accommodations:

• A beautifully appointed, fully furnished 2,000 sq. ft. guest house will be provided to the right couple

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $160,000 to $200,000+ DOE
• Full benefits package
• Relocation assistance available for out-of-state candidates
