Domestic Couple w/Medical Experience_River Dale, NY 10471 - PLACED

We are seeking to hire a compassionate, mature, educated domestic couple to support a wonderful recently widowed gentleman who is 80, high functioning, and in great shape. He can maintain his daily showering, dressing, and walking routine. Mr. does not at this time require any caregiving needs; however, the ideal couple will have some form of medical training - CNA/LPN/RN/Certified Caregiver.

Mr. is just dealing with the sudden loss of his wife of 20 years and becoming less interested in going outside or socializing. The role's primary focus is to maintain the upkeep of this large four-story private residence with gardens, patios/porches, and decorative features.

Only experienced professionals with proven tenure will be considered. Candidates with a background in history preservation or interested in history, sport, or prior experience with philanthropic work would be highly desirable. Mr. enjoys discussing current affairs; he tought history and is passionate about sports. Mr grew up in Cleveland and has mid-west values. 

Our client has four wonderful children and two stepchildren who worry about his well-being. Communicating any changes regarding his health or overall state with the family would be essential.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the property, keeping it in pristine condition.
• Have a hands-on approach to maintaining the property. This position requires desk time but also physically getting involved in the day-to-day maintenance of the house.
• Someone who will occasionally schedule appointments and attend functions – chaperoning him would be ideal.
• Scheduling exercise, ensuring that he eats three meals a day, that his prescriptions are filled, that the car is maintained, preparing the house seasonally, and managing and scheduling all outside vendors are essential responsibilities in this role.
• The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and confident using QuickBooks or an alternative accounting program to pay bills and invoices.
• Calendar management: Remembering birthdays, anniversaries, invites, and gifting would be part of the responsibility.
• Manage any functions at the residence - manage invites and RSVPs, catering, valet services, and security. 
• Report any sudden health changes to the family immediately.

There is a live-in housekeeper who takes care of cleaning and laundry.

This role is a house manager position where the ideal candidate will have experience taking complete charge of a sizeable, stunning property in an affluent area of Rive Dale, NY. 

Local candidates are preferred, but our client is now open to candidates from East Coast states.

Must be in excellent physical shape. 

Salary

$150,000 to $180,000
