Domestic Couple - HOLD

A friendly young couple and their pet cat who moved from New York and recently settled in Lexington, KY, are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy couple to support all aspects of running their home. The couple is in their late 30’s, humble entrepreneurs, and busy. Both principals work from home, have a strong work ethic, and are active Christians in the community. As both Mr. and Mrs. are tech-savvy, they would like one or both of the candidates to be confident using innovative home technology, troubleshoot media/electronics, and confident using Apple, Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, or a similar accounting programs.The ability to manage a detailed house calendar would be necessary.

Their home was built in 1939, and recently received a complete rehab. There are plans to add a seperate guest house, and possible stables in the near future, housing horses and livestock. Having project management, construction, or horticultural experience would be an advantage.

The management couple would have full-charge over the 25 archers, 7,800 sq ft, with six bedrooms and seven and a half baths. The couple should have previous experience creating house manuals, implementing SOP’s, managing vendors, and presenting weekly updates to the principals. Prior experience managing staff would be necessary, as over time additional domestic support will be hired.

Additional Responsibilities:
- The role involves full housekeeping and laundry responsibilities for the two principals.
- Daily meal preparation, service, and planning are part of the role. Someone with culinary training would be highly desirable. The couple enjoys    entertaining informally.
- Oversight of all the exterior and interior maintenance, manage existing vendor contracts and negotiate the renewal of contracts.
- Running errands, inventory control, and stocking all supplies.
- When the principals travel, assistance packing and driving them to the airport would be required.

Schedule: 

Monday - Friday, with weekend coverage periodically when entertaining. The couple are very respectful and fair. 50 Hour week

*One of the candidates might ideally enjoy gardening, be handy with repairing simple items on the property, or have experience dealing with livestock.
*A discreet, highly detailed, loyal, pro-active, conscientious, good-humored, environmentally friendly couple with proven tenure would have a considerable advantage.

• Salary:$170,000 to $250,000 per year
