A wonderful Houston-based family is looking for a highly experienced Director of Residences to oversee 14 properties nationally and potentially abroad. 

 

The ideal candidate would be Texas-based with the flexibility to regularly travel.  

 

Locations: Texas, California, Colorado, Minnesota, Mexico, and Europe. 

 

The family is looking for a current, tech savvy candidate with prior experience managing a portfolio of homes and ranches. To be considered for this role, the candidate should have experience in project management/facilities management, ideally with a master's degree in business or similar qualifications. The ideal applicant will have excellent previous tenure and can meet the expectations of a Billionaire family/principals. Frequent national and international travel should be expected. 

 

The family is active and in their early 50s with three grown children. The family enjoys the best of the best. They are looking for someone who is confident, respectful, mannerly, highly organized, polished, a team player, educated, and without ego.

 

The existing managers have been in place for ten to forty years. 

  

Responsibilities: 

 

  • The Director of Residences will travel to all 14 properties.
  • Develop, standardize and execute SOPs/ house manuals specific to each property, with the aid of an executive assistant.
  • Support unannounced inspections.
  • Ideally, have a passion for a working ranch or prior experience with hunting and fishing. 
  • Initiate new vendor relations and vendor lists and maintain existing vendor relations, to ensure seamless support and improve the maintenance standards throughout each property. 
  • Source, train, and onboard new staff and manage/support and train existing staff, ensuring a positive work environment and culture. 
  • Develop and/or update monthly financial reports.
  • Systematize a master list of pending and completed tasks in order of priority. 
  • Complete financial oversight: acquisitions, contract negations, insurance, construction management, and ranch management with quarterly financial P& L reports.
  • Regular communication with the principles and CFO would be essential, working as a team. 
  • Have a global approach: prior experience supporting international properties highly desirable. The ability to communicate clearly in English and Spanish would be advantageous.

  • Salary: $250,000 to $350,000

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a detailed criminal background check and drug testing and hold a clean current driving license 
  • Bachelor's Degree, at a minimum, required
