We are representing a wonderful private client in Palm Beach who is seeking an exceptional Content Development Partner to work directly alongside the Principal as she begins an exciting new chapter — developing her own identity, voice, and personal brand.

This is a very unique opportunity for a gifted writer, editor, communicator, and creative thinker who wants to use their craft in service of something meaningful.

The Principal is humble, grounded, thoughtful, somewhat introverted, and spiritually minded. She is not looking to simply create a public persona. She is looking to better understand and articulate what she stands for, what drives her, and how her experiences and ideas can authentically serve others.

This individual will play an integral role in helping her discover and develop that voice.

The Opportunity

At its core, this is a creative partnership.

The Principal is in the early stages of creating something that is uniquely her own. The direction will continue to evolve, and the person stepping into this role must be excited by it rather than intimidated.

Mrs. is highly creative and may communicate through a stream of consciousness — sharing thoughts, experiences, ideas, observations, and emotions as they come to her.

Your job is to listen.

To understand what she is really trying to say.

To identify the meaning in the conversation, find the message, and thoughtfully turn those ideas into beautifully written, meaningful content while always protecting the authenticity of her voice.

You should be able to sit with the Principal, listen to her speak freely for an hour, and walk away understanding the three or four ideas that truly matter.

From there, you know how to build something.

An article. A newsletter. A chapter. A speech. A podcast discussion. A social message. Perhaps eventually a book.

The format may change. The integrity of her voice cannot.

A Very Personal Partnership

This position will require more than exceptional writing ability.

There needs to be a genuine social and personality connection with Mrs.

The role is intimate in nature. You will spend considerable time listening to her thoughts, understanding her experiences, discussing ideas, and helping her articulate subjects that may be personal and meaningful.

The successful candidate will therefore need to be balanced, calm, emotionally intelligent, thoughtful, and incredibly grounded.

You cannot bring ego into this relationship.

You are not there to impose your own voice or create the person you think the Principal should become. You are there to understand who she already is and help her communicate that authentically.

Someone with a service heart will understand this distinction immediately.

While the relationship with the Principal is highly personal, you will not be doing this alone.

There is already an established and highly capable team within the family office to support this individual.

Creative resources, operational support, executive leadership, and other professionals are already in place. You will have people around you who can help bring ideas to life.

You will work collaboratively with the family office, Chief of Staff, creative professionals, and outside partners to ensure that the Principal's vision is translated into a cohesive and thoughtful body of work.

Writing & Editorial Development

Exceptional writing ability is an absolute requirement for this position.

You must be an incredible writer and equally strong editor.

You should be able to take a complicated thought and make it simple without making it simplistic.

You understand nuance.

You recognize when a single sentence buried within a much larger conversation is actually the heart of the message.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Working directly with the Principal to understand and develop her voice, ideas, and overall message.
• Translating conversations and streams of consciousness into clear, thoughtful written content.
• Writing and editing newsletters, essays, articles, speeches, talking points, social content, and long-form material.
• Supporting future book and publishing projects.
• Preparing written materials for podcasts, interviews, speaking engagements, and media opportunities.
• Reviewing and editing content produced by other members of the creative team.
• Protecting the consistency and authenticity of the Principal's voice across all platforms.
• Conducting research and identifying stories, references, and supporting material.
• Developing an editorial calendar and helping establish longer-term content direction.
• Repurposing meaningful ideas across multiple formats without allowing the message to become repetitive or diluted.
• Helping determine which ideas should move forward and which simply need more time to develop.

Building a Voice, Not Simply a Brand

The Principal is currently in the process of establishing her own identity and her own brand.

This person will be instrumental in that journey.

The successful candidate should understand the difference between building visibility and building something meaningful.

Our client is not interested in creating content simply to remain visible.

There should be purpose behind the work.

Her interests center on service, personal growth, spirituality, community, authenticity, and, in particular, the opportunity to support and empower women.

An understanding of conscious parenting, personal development, wellness, spirituality, or purpose-driven work would be highly advantageous.

You do not necessarily need to share every belief or interest. You do, however, need to possess the emotional intelligence and curiosity required to understand what drives the Principal and why these subjects matter to her.

The Individual

We are open-minded regarding the exact professional background of the successful candidate.

You may come from journalism, communications, publishing, editorial, media, content strategy, speechwriting, or another writing-intensive environment.

A degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or a related discipline would be highly desirable.

More importantly, you must be able to demonstrate exceptional writing ability.

She is looking for someone she can trust and ultimately feel completely comfortable thinking out loud with.

There will be moments when she does not know exactly what she wants to say.

The right person will not rush to fill the silence.

You will listen, ask thoughtful questions, understand what is underneath the initial thought, and help her find the words.

There is a gentleness required for this role, but also confidence.

You must know your craft exceptionally well while remaining humble enough to recognize that the story belongs to the Principal.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $140,000++ DOE

Location & Schedule

Palm Beach, Florida

This is a hybrid position; however, meaningful in-person time with the Principal will be essential to the relationship's success.

Candidates should ideally be located in or willing to relocate to the Palm Beach/South Florida area.

Some travel may be required as the Principal's projects, speaking opportunities, and platform continue to evolve.

Requirements

• Exceptional professional writing and editing skills.
• Relevant experience in journalism, communications, publishing, editorial, content development, speechwriting, or a comparable field.
• Ideally 7+ years of progressive professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience supporting an author, founder, executive, public figure, or thought leader is highly desirable.
• Ability to provide professional writing samples.
• Exceptional discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong references and ability to successfully complete an extensive background check.
