Our client in NJ is seeking a patient and kind caregiver/companion to assist with her 85 & 87 y/o aging parents with dementia. The senior couple is of Italian background, proud and still living independently.
Their children are concerned they are not taking medicine & eating properly. The client’s mother is currently having gallbladder issues & will need gallbladder surgery. Candidate must be mature, compassionate, and understanding. The ideal candidate has previous experience working for UHNW individuals and must always maintain a high standard of professionalism.
They currently can maintain their own hygiene. There are no pets.
Responsibilities:
- Helping the couple get ready in the morning and ready for bed in the evenings.
- Ensuring breakfast and dinner are prepared/heated up.
- Monitoring medications and ensuring they are being taken correctly.
- Taking vitals.
- Assisting with housekeeping and cleanup around the home.
- As the role evolves, potentially providing transportation to and from doctor's appointments.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 30 hours/week.
Mornings: 3 hours, out by 10-10:30 AM
Evenings: 3 hours
Compensation:
$180/day
To Apply:
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Companion, Caregiver, CNA, or similar role.
- Must have outstanding, verifiable professional references.
- Must pass a detailed criminal background check.
- Must have a clean, valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
