(Live-in) CNA/Companion - Florida

Job Description:

A family in Florida is seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Companion to provide full-time care for a tall, disabled gentleman in his 70s. The gentleman requires assistance with daily living activities due to his mobility challenges, and the role will also involve supporting him in maintaining his overall health and well-being. His mental faculties are in perfect condition, and he is able to manage his meals on his own. 

This is a live-in position with private housing offered on-site. The schedule is full-time, M-F, 8 hours/day with breaks throughout the day. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with mobility, including transfers and moving around the home.
• Provide companionship and engage in friendly conversation and activities, such as watching movies and playing cards.
• Manage and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with transportation and accompanying him to and from medical appointments, errands, and other outings.
• Help with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and light housekeeping.
• Provide emotional support and help with managing day-to-day challenges.

Requirements:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Experience in caregiving, particularly with disabled individuals.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage medications and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Must be comfortable with a live-in arrangement and be able to maintain a professional and respectful relationship in the household.

Compensation:

• $300/day
• Private living quarters provided on-site

To Apply:

• Must be a licensed CNA.
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Caregiver/Companion, preferably in private homes.
• Must pass a detailed criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Must have excellent, verifiable, professional references.
