We are seeking a lady's caregiver for a lovely 94-year-old woman in St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080

Two positions available:

Day shift - Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 8 PM | Live-out | $55,000 - $60,000/year

Night shift - 7 days a week from 8 PM - 8 AM | Live-in | $52,000/year

Mrs. is in good physical health but suffers from age-related dementia (no Alzheimer's diagnosis), requires assistance with hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation, and needs 24-hour companionship to alleviate confusion and loneliness. She lives in a condominium in St. Augustine Beach, FL. The day shift will require more hands-on care regarding meal prep and light housekeeping/helping with laundry, etc. Both shifts will assist with personal hygiene, bathing, and dressing. The night shift will ensure the safety of Mrs. and her home throughout the night. She generally sleeps through the night. 

Duties include: 

  • Assisting Mrs. with personal hygiene, changing, bathing, and clothing. 
  • Light housekeeping, helping with laundry, maintaining the cleanliness of the common living areas, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and bathroom areas. 
  • Assist with getting Mrs. out of the house for walks and fresh air. 
  • Help with activities that incorporate mobility to keep Mrs. active and healthy. 
  • Keep Mrs. company during the day and ensure companionship.
  • Night shift will ensure the home's safety during the night and be present should Mrs. need help with going to the bathroom, alleviating confusion if she wakes up in the middle of the night, or getting back to bed. 
  • Organizing and administering medication timely and accurately. 
  • Taking daily vitals.
  • Running errands/grocery shopping/driving Mrs. to and from doctor appointments. 
  • Assist with mobility as needed. 
  • Communicate with the family regarding Mrs.'s health regularly. 

MUST 

Have a valid driver's license, be willing to run errands, and drive Mrs. to and from appointments and social gatherings as needed. 

Be willing to help with personal hygiene, dressing, changing, and bathing. 

Have a calm, caring, and compassionate demeanor/be an active companion. 

Medical training is a plus but not a requirement. 

Must have experience working as a caretaker for older adults.
