Full-Time LPN/RN/CNA/Caregiver – Kansas (with travel to California)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) LPN or RN to provide 24/7 care for a woman in her 70s who has Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Lewy Body Dementia. This is a live-in position, 24/7 approach to support, the family will accomodate ideally - two days off each week. The caregiver will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our client, assisting with daily activities, managing medication, hygiene, and cooking.

The family is based in Kansas for most of the year and travels to Southern California during the winter months. The caregiver will have a private room and bathroom during their stay/private apartment available in March/April. This position is hiring ASAP and seeking candidates with long-term commitment. Fluency in French is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer and monitor the medication schedule, ensuring all medications are taken correctly and on time.
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Monitor and assist with cognitive needs, providing mental stimulation, and ensuring safety at all times.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the client’s personal care.
  • Ensure regular communication with family members and report any changes in the client’s condition.
  • Maintain a structured routine and engage the client in activities appropriate for her cognitive and physical abilities.

Requirements:

  • Valid CNA/LPN/RN certification/License. Must have 24/7 mindset, with prior expereince creating a senior care plan.
  • Proven experience in caregiving, specifically for individuals with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and/or Lewy Body Dementia.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a private CNA or in a similar role, preferably live-in.
  • Ability to prepare meals that meet the client’s nutritional needs and preferences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make sound decisions when necessary.
  • Must have a compassionate and patient nature, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
  • Long-term commitment to the position and the client’s well-being.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a detailed criminal background check.
  • Must have excellent, verifiable professional references.

Compensation:

  • $130,000+, depending on experience.
  • Full benefits package.
  • Full-time position with 2 days off per week.
