Companion/Caregiver – Columbia, South Carolina

An independent, 92-year-old gentleman in Columbia, South Carolina, would like to bring in a support person to assist him in his daily activities. The ideal candidate will respect the principal’s independence and decision-making. The client is alert and capable, he just needs assistance in day-to-day tasks.

Duties:

• Laundry
• Cooking
• Driving
• Cleaning
• Errands
• Housesitting
• Calendar Management
• Schedule and accompany to doctor appointments
• Support other family members in the home as needed
• Occasional overnights if the principal falls ill

The family requires a kind, compassionate candidate- ideally, a gentleman’s gentleman. The principal is down-to-earth and humble in his requests and needs.

Details:

• Immediate start
• Medical training would be advantageous
• CPR and First Aid certified
• 40 to 50 hours per week with flexibility
• Housing/Housing stipend will be provided (position is live-out)
• Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
• Benefits package 
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must pass a criminal background check
