Position Overview

A warm, respectful, and long-established private household in the Hamptons is seeking an experienced Seasonal Live-In Butler to join their fully staffed residence for the summer season through Labor Day.

This is an exceptional opportunity to support a delightful senior couple in a collaborative team environment. The household is known for its longevity of staff, positive culture, and mutual respect. The family's longtime Butler is retiring, creating an opening for a polished, service-oriented professional who takes pride in providing exceptional care and anticipates the Principals' needs with discretion and professionalism.

There is strong potential for this role to transition into a long-term opportunity when the family returns to Palm Beach in September for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide formal yet warm breakfast, lunch, and dinner service for the Principals.
• Prepare and set tables, serve meals, and maintain impeccable dining standards.
• Work collaboratively with the existing household staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties and maintain common areas as needed.
• Run household errands and coordinate local purchases when requested.
• Liaise with and oversee outside vendors and service providers as needed.
• Anticipate the Principals' preferences while maintaining the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Adapt to changing priorities with a positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as a Butler in a private residence.
• Professional, polished, and service-driven demeanor.
• Strong formal service skills with attention to detail.
• Team player who is willing to assist wherever needed for the success of the household.
• Comfortable supporting a mature senior couple with warmth and respect.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work 6–7 days per week during the season.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and confidence running errands using the family's vehicle.
