A Director of Residence is seeking to hire an experienced, professional Houseman/Butler to oversee his employer's 20,000 sq. ft. townhome in the Upper East Side. The perfect candidate should be high-energy with a can-do attitude. Must be a hands-on, driven, self-starter, tech-savvy, and the willingness to do whatever is necessary to get the job completed.

Responsibilities for the position:

• Oversee the functionality of the townhome working along with the other domestic staff
• Ideally, be in excellent physical shape as the house is over five stories,
• Must have excellent communication skills, verbal, text, written, and e-mail
• Must have excellent presentation. this role will represent the family at the door, receiving guests, family, and deliveries
• Oversee outside vendors and contractors, signing off on completed work
• Inventory and procure household supplies, as needed – maintain inventories
• Stocking of wine and spirits, maintaining all supplies working with housekeeping
• At times assist housekeeping when the house is busy with family or guests
• Help maintain high levels of cleanliness- including antiques, furniture, delicate surfaces, and museum-quality art
• Set the table and perform tray service – ideally, have a food and beverage background
• Run errands, returns, and receive incoming boxes
• Must be tech-savvy and have excellent communication skills
• Drive principals, guests, and family when required - maintain vehicles
• Assist with minor home repairs, and oversee vendors when they come to the house
• Perform vehicle maintenance and cleaning, and ensure tax and titles are current

Monday through Friday, must have the flexibility to work weekends when needed. 

Compensation: 

Salary, $80 to $105k
