Live-in, Full-time Executive Housekeeper with Butlering Duties

We are looking for a full-time live-in youthful candidate to support an informal couple in their LA home, 90210. The principals are young at heart --casual, but detailed-- everything has a place.

They are looking for a cultured, polite, and respectful candidate who can get along with the existing housekeeping team.

The house is 12,000 sq ft, and both principals work. Mrs. works from home and is in and out. Mr. goes to the office daily.

There are no children, and the couple travel frequently. Part of the role is house-sitting when the couple travel and watch/care for their two Pomeranians. The ideal candidate would need to be in the house on weekends, mornings, and evenings when there is no housekeeper on duty.

The schedule is flexible for the right candidate. The two housekeepers who have been with the couple for the past nine years are willing to cover shifts as needed.

The regular schedule would be Monday through Friday, with support on the weekends, as needed.

The couple would like the candidate to assist in serving drinks, and prepaing a casual dinner periodically. (This can be ordered, plated and served) The housekeeper/butler is expected to oversee catering when the couple has an event in the house, and ensure everything is put away, and the place is returned to normal after the event. Turn down service would be required.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

Experienced, detail-oriented, prideful work ethic, and a self-starter

Full-time, live-in position (flexible around our clients’ schedules)

  • Fluent in English-speaking is a must, reading and writing preferred
  • Fast learner, and takes the initiative to figure things out
  • Capable of performing physical demands of the job (lifting, climbing stairs, small ladders, packages, )
  • Attend to residents, guests- proactive, attentive, detail oriented, organized, yet discrete
    • Someone to see something that needs to be fixed, cleaned, attended to before myself- (example- see a scuff on the wall and clean it, see a scuff on the floor and use wood cleaner to remove it)
    • Someone able to prepare the house for entertaining and guests, uniform will be provided for assisting hosted events
    • Light cooking, meal prep when needed
  • Stock list and inventories of personal vitamins, household products, and groceries
  • Maintain impeccable organization of all drawers, cabinets, pantry
  • Light gift-wrapping abilities preferred, or willingness to learn
  • Labeling and categorizing household goods
  • Packing and unpacking
  • Work with day-time housekeeping, fill in when needed especially when live-out housekeeping not working
    • Detailed cleaning, laundry-garment delicate fabric care, ironing, precise folding and drawer organization, carpet/ upholster stain removal
    • Assist while entertaining: setup and cleanup
  • Work with outsides vendors, such as florists and catering, and be present for deliveries if owners not home
  • Watch pets and house while principals are out of town
  • Ensure house is run seamlessly and always maintain appearance of the residence

 

Salary and Benefits

  • $80,000 to $100,000 + D/O/E
