Position Overview

A private, discreet, and business-focused UHNW gentleman in his late 50s–early 60s is seeking an experienced, confident, and highly detail-oriented Butler to oversee his New York City brownstone and provide seasonal support at his Hamptons estate.

The New York residence is a five-story, 20,000 sq. ft. brownstone with a housekeeper already in place, along with additional support staff and vendors engaged as needed. The Hamptons property is a large, significant estate that is fully staffed during the summer season.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for a polished professional who brings youthful energy, strong physical stamina, exceptional attention to detail, and a refined service mindset. The environment is professional, business-like, respectful, and calm. Discretion and emotional intelligence are essential.

Key Responsibilities

New York (Primary Residence):

  • Provide high-level butler service and daily operational oversight of a five-story brownstone

  • Coordinate closely with the existing housekeeper, vendors, and service providers

  • Oversee household standards, service flow, and presentation at all times

  • Manage schedules, deliveries, inventory, and household systems

  • Support light guest hosting and formal service as needed

  • Ensure seamless daily operations with minimal disruption to the principal

  • Maintain discretion, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

Hamptons (Seasonal Support):

  • Travel with the principal during the summer months

  • Oversee a large, fully staffed Hamptons estate

  • Act as point of coordination between seasonal staff, vendors, and property management

  • Ensure continuity of service standards between residences

  • Assist with entertaining, events, and guest readiness as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Butler, Senior Butler, or similar role within a private residence or luxury estate or Five Star resort experience

  • Confident, polished, and detail-driven with a strong service ethic

  • Physically fit, energetic, and able to comfortably navigate a five-story home daily

  • Youthful mindset with professional maturity and excellent judgment

  • Exceptionally discreet, calm, and respectful

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and anticipate needs

  • Comfortable leading and coordinating staff and vendors

  • Tech-savvy and able to manage digital systems, schedules, and communications

  • Flexible and willing to travel seasonally to the Hamptons

  • Fluent English required; additional languages a plus

  • White-glove service experience strongly preferred
