Nanny/Housekeeper/Cook for Charleston
A single mother on Sullivan’s Island in Charleston, SC, needs a nanny/housekeeper/cook to support her and her five year old son. Her son is very busy and energetic, so the perfect candidate will be physically active and have high energy.
During the day, while the son is at school, the mother would like the candidate to support light housekeeping, laundry, managing vendors, checking inventories, running errands, grocery shopping and cooking. The home is 3,800 to 4,000 square feet. A deep cleaning will be required while the child is away on vacations and weekends.
The child has several food allergies. Understanding cross contamination, consistent hand washing during meal prep, and paying detailed attention to snacks and food, are vital in this role. All food items (meals and snacks) must be prepared from scratch with absolutely no processed ingredients due to her son's strict diet. A background as chef/nutrition would be advantageous in this role.
The principal has a very large vegetable garden. A hobby for gardening would be advantageous. Knowledge of holistic, healthy cooking using fresh ingredients is desired.
The family has a pool which the boy uses often. The family also entertains and has pool parties frequently. Strong swimming skills and CPR are a requirement.
This position is open to live-in or live-out candidates. There is a private bedroom and bathroom available for housing accommodations in the home. A vehicle will be available for work purposes.
Immediate start for skilled, local nannies.
The schedule is flexible with two options, depending on the candidate’s preference:
- Monday through Friday with two weekends a month (and rotating days off).
- 8 days on and 4 days off.
Details:
- $80,000 to $110,000 annual salary
- Housing stipend or accommodations
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be CPR certified
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
