A lovely couple in Charleston, South Carolina, is looking for a higher-skilled nanny/mother’s helper with prior experience caring for newborns. The husband will be away on business beginning January 2023, so assistance in maintaining the couple’s 3,000-square-foot, 4-bedroom home is needed. The baby is only weeks old, so the perfect candidate will be experienced, educated, and competent to effectively care for the child.
The role’s focus is to support the mother, allowing her to attend appointments, have downtime for herself, and socialize, all while knowing her baby is in excellent hands. She is looking for someone who is relatable, who she can have coffee with, and who is current. The candidate will walk the baby regularly and present an interactive, educational approach under the mother’s guidance and direction.
The candidate will help with all aspects of cleaning, laundry, dry-cleaning, running errands, maintaining supplies, ironing, wardrobe assistance, maintaining porches, and overseeing vendors – possible scheduling. Simple meal prep and grocery shopping is expected.
The ideal candidate will proactively handle property issues, such as outages and leaks. A friendly demeanor and exceptional work-ethic is a must. Clear communication is essential, and tech-savvy is ideal.
Additionally, the candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, as they will be responsible for driving the family to and from the airport and ensuring the mother and baby get to appointments on time.
The family has a friendly Golden Retriever, who will require regular walks, feedings, and trips to the groomer/vet. The candidate must be in excellent physical condition to keep up with the demands of caring for the newborn child and the family dog, all while maintaining the household to standards.
Immediate start for skilled, experienced nannies.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 35-40 hours/week
